Vertical hydroponics

Vertical hydroponics

Hydroponics is a method of growing plants without soil in a horizontal or vertical manner, where mineral nutrients are provided through water. Hydroponic systems that allow plants to be grown vertically are known as vertical hydroponics, mainly under the MAXIMUS brand. Vertical hydroponics works using conventional hydroponic techniques in a gravity-fed vertical system. Nutrient-rich water is fed from above and collected at the bottom. Vertical hydroponics has various advantages over traditional crop production methods. The benefits are high yield density per unit area, good for small sunny places such as balconies, terraces and roofs. Furthermore, it allows for year-round production indoors and provides more than 90 percent water use efficiency, with no soil diseases or blight.
